Residence: Northbank, Stavenbruck. A retired seed-store clerk, Zdena tends a licensed greenhouse bench as unpaid neighbourhood work. She treats its small harvest as a fragile luxury and keeps careful watering notes. Ansel is her grandson and helps on her allotted turn.
