One abandoned pre-Event extraction and drainage site occupies the outer edge of Kaltbruch's stable shelf. The developed setting fits within a footprint no more than two kilometres across. That is a design limit, not a survey or total passage length. Old workings, drainage galleries and a later maintenance connection explain its layers.
